Standard consultations are for 1 clinical hour (50 mins.).

Naturally, professional confidentiality applies. Referral is not needed unless you are seeking the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan benefit, explained below. Phone (08) 8339 5465.

TREATMENTS AND COUNSELLING include hypnotherapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and analytical, cathartic/abreactive techniques (which can involve dream and guided phantasy work).

Bulk Billing (no out of pocket cost). Client must have a "GP Mental Health Care Plan" from a GP, psychiatrist of paediatrician, and a health care card, or indicate a low income. Bulk billing does not apply to cases likely to come before the courts, e.g. some sorts of family issues.

REPORTS & ASSESSMENTS

Human Resource reports, Social profiles, Assessment of psychological injury & forensic reports. (Fees generally range from $200.00 - $1,2500.00)

Reports are based on testing and interviewing. They usually specify and refer to Personality, Intelligence and Interests, reference-checking as required, diagnoses/prognoses where relevant, and recommended treatment where relevant. Reports are usually for Human Resource purposes (recruiting or strategic planning), forensic purposes (matters coming before the courts) or rehabilitation purposes (e.g. reports to Workcover).

CONSULTING FEES (see below): (Credit cards not accepted, payment is by cash, cheque, or money order.) These fees mentioned below are for private clinical clients and do not apply to professional or corporate clients, issues likely to, or intended to come before the courts, or to issues requiring extensive written reports. Fees for such services are by negotiation.

CLINICAL FEES IN A NUT-SHELL (sessions: 1 clinical hour = 50 mins.)
You do not need to be referred by a doctor but you cannot get the Medicare/bulk-billing benefit without it.

MY FEES: Nil gap, i.e. free (bulk-billed) to low income clients where the client has a GP mental health care plan(a special referal) from your treating doctor. You can simply ask your referring doctor if you qualify for the mental health care plan? Otherwise I can be paid at consultation by cash/cheque/money order/bank transfer.I do not take cards. If I bill you my normal fee is $185.00 per clinical hour (50 mins)(Note well: the APS Recommended Feeis $246.00 per clinical session)

If you intend to use Private Health Insurance you should check with your health fund to confirm that you qualify for psychology benefits.

BULK BILLING & FEES FOR CLINICAL SERVICES
As explained above, persons with a "GP Mental Health Care Plan" from their GP AND who also have a low income, or a Centrelink pension card, or health card are bulk-billed (meaning no cost to client). Persons not eligible for a Medicare rebate can claim private health benefits if they have appropriate insurance. Note, Medicare will not allow clients to use both Medicare and private benefits.

MEDICARE REBATES AND "BULK BILLING" FOR ELIGIBLE CLIENTS: My clients who get a GP Mental Health Care Plan from their doctor are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $84.80 per visit (or $106.55 for home visits) for up to 10 visits per year (subject to a report back to the doctor who reviews your situation after the first 6 visits). I bulk bill virtually all low income clients who have the "GP Mental Health Care Plan".

Fees can be rebated by appropriate Health Insurance but you cannot use both Private insurance and Medicare.

Fees for Online or Telephone Counselling: Not covered by health insurance. Standard fees payable by cheque or bank transfer by arrangement.

TERMS OF PAYMENT
Clients who are not eligible to be bulbilled are advised to make their payments at consultation. My full fee is $185.00 per session.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS". If an appointment is missed without a full 24 hours notice a "no show" fee equal to the value of the consultation is immediately due and note well this cannot be rebated by either Medicare or private insurance. The reason for this charge is that regardless of whether you show-up or not you have contracted to use my time. Several "no shows" in a day add up to a massive loss from the working day. There is no charge whatsoever if you give 24+ hours notice of intention to cancel or alter an appointment.
