Summary of Locations: Crafers West, Seaton(316 Tapleys Hill Road)& Home Visits (Hills, Southern suburbs, Western suburbs) weekly.

Standard consultations are for 1 clinical hour (50 mins.).

Naturally, professional confidentiality applies. Referral is not needed unless you are seeking the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (Item 2710) benefit, explained below. Phone (08) 8339 5465.

TREATMENTS AND COUNSELLING include hypnotherapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and analytical, cathartic/abreactive techniques (which can involve dream and guided phantasy work).

All fees quoted below are in Australian dollars.

REPORTS & ASSESSMENTS

Human Resource reports, Social profiles, Assessment of psychological injury & forensic reports. (Fees generally range from $200.00 - $1,2500.00)

Reports are based on testing and interviewing. They usually specify and refer to Personality, Intelligence and Interests, reference-checking as required, diagnoses/prognoses where relevant, and recommended treatment where relevant. Reports are usually for Human Resource purposes (recruiting or strategic planning), forensic purposes (matters coming before the courts) or rehabilitation purposes (e.g. reports to Workcover).

CONSULTING FEES (see below): These fees mentioned below are for private clinical clients and do not apply to professional or corporate clients, issues likely to, or intended to come before the courts, or to issues requiring extensive written reports. Fees for such services are by negotiation.

CLINICAL FEES IN A NUT-SHELL (sessions: 1 clinical hour = 50 mins.)
Note: APS Recommended Fee $206.00 per clinical 1-hour session.

MY FEES:
Where Nil concessions apply $156.00 per session.
Where fee is paid at consultation and no other concession applies: $130.00 per session.
Where client has a "GP Mental Health Care Plan" and pays gap at consultation: $49.80 (otherwise gap is $69.80).
*Where client has a "GP Mental Health Care Plan" and also has a pension or health care card, or a very low income: Nil cost to patient.

BULK BILLING & FEES FOR CLINICAL SERVICES
As explained above, persons with a "GP Mental Health Care Plan" from their GP AND who also have a Centrelink pension or health card are bulk-billed (meaning no cost to client). Persons not eligible for a Medicare rebate can claim private health benefits if they have appropriate insurance. Note, Medicare will not allow clients to use both Medicare and private benefits.

"CASH DISCOUNT" AVAILABLE FOR NON-BULK BILLED CLIENTS. Persons who are not being bulk billed may have their fee discounted from $156.00 to $130.00 providing the fee is paid at consultation. Cash, cheque (personal cheque ok)or postal note. I do not take credit cards.

MEDICARE REBATES AND "BULK BILLING" FOR ELIGIBLE CLIENTS: My clients who get a "GP Mental Health Care Plan Item 2710" from their doctor are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $80.20 per visit for up to 12 visits per year (with a report back to the doctor after the first 6 visits). The gap to be paid is $49.80 if paid at consultation. Clients who have the "GP Mental Health Care Plan Item 2710" and also hold a pension or health care card are "bulk billed" i.e they have no out of pocket cost whatsoever.

Fees for Online or Telephone Counselling: Not covered by health insurance. Standard service (see under "Services" above) $400.00 per month in advance. Specific parameters of service by negotiation but usually up to 4 hours per month. Payable by cheque or Paypal by arrangement.

TERMS OF PAYMENT
Clients who are not eligible to be bulk billed are advised to make their payments at consultation. My full fee is $156.00 per session but this can be reduced to $130.00 by simply paying at consultation.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS". If an appointment is missed without 24 hours notice a "no show" fee of $80.20 is immediately due from bulk billed clients or $130.00 from non-bulk billed clients, and note well this cannot be rebated by either Medicare or private insurance. The reason for this charge is that regardless of whether you show-up or not you have contracted to use my time. Several "no shows" in a day add up to a massive loss from the working day. There is no charge whatsoever if you give 24+ hoursw notice of intention to cancel or alter an appointment.

Note, My fees for clinical services: $156.00 (for non-bulk billed clients), or $130.00 if paid at consultation, are heavily discounted from the APS nationally recommended fee $206.00 per hour. I do not take credit cards. Payment may be made by cash, personal cheque or postal note.

INVEST IN YOURSELF: For less than a full service on your car, or your home insurance premium or about 1/2 what it usually costs to get your car airconditioning fixed you can have a course of appointments that could make a positive difference to the rest of your life. Don't make the mistake of investing more in things than on yourself!
